In Loving Memory of Jorge Luis GarciaOn November 11, 2023, Jorge Luis Garcia was surrounded by his beloved wife Lindaand family members as he passed peacefully into the loving embrace of family awaitinghis arrival into heaven.Jorge was born on January 26, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas. As a young boy, Jorge'sparents, Hipolito and Mary Garcia relocated their family to Moorpark, California. It wasthere that Jorge would grow into the man remembered by many for his kindness,laughter and adventurous spirit.After graduating from Moorpark High School in 1972, Jorge began his career withGeneral Motors in Van Nuys, California. He was relocated to Baltimore, Maryland in1993 where he left a lasting impact on the company and formed lifelong connectionswith co-workers and friends. In 2006, after 35 years of dedicated employment, Jorgeembraced retirement. He relocated to Bakersfield, California before returning to hisbeloved hometown of Moorpark, California.Jorge's love of nature and the outdoors was true to his heart. Whether it was riding hisHarley, hiking through scenic landscapes, enjoying his passion of golf or listening tomusic, Jorge found beauty and joy in the world around him. Taking his youngerbrothers on their first camping trip was one of Jorge's favorite memories. His easy-goingspirit and love for life were contagious and left an enduring imprint on the hearts ofthose who shared life with him.Jorge found his soul mate and the love of his life in Linda Burgos Garcia.They shared 17 years of marriage and their union was a testament to the enduringpower of love. Celebrating life, traveling with family and friends, they enjoyed living lifetogether. Their home was filled with warmth, laughter and many happy memories.Jorge and Linda's bond enriched the lives of all who witnessed their love. Theircherished memories will live on through his beloved "honey," Linda's heart forever.Jorge was preceded in death by his brother PFC Arnold F. Garcia, USMC, his motherMary Garcia, sister, Marie Garcia and father, Hipolito Garcia. While we mourn hisabsence, we celebrate his joyous reunion with loved ones. Jorge's legacy lives onthrough his beloved wife, Linda, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, who were asource of Jorge's pride and joy.As we bid farewell to Jorge, we celebrate the legacy of a man who valued family aboveall else, found joy in the simple pleasures of life and always embraced you with a smileand open arms. Rest in peace Jorge. Your spirit lives on in the hearts of all who weretouched by your lovingkindness.
