Cherie married Michael Paul (d. 2001) and had son Christopher Paul in 1968. Cherie was a wonderful mother to Chris, spending her weekends at football & baseball games & eventually dropping Chris off at the beach to surf. Cherie followed in her mother and grandmother's footsteps: She opened with Michael a clothing and shoe store downtown Ojai and loved to tell everyone she was the first person to buy Uggs from Australia for her store! She went on to have a very successful career with Wells Fargo Bank, holding the title of Vice President, Branch Manager before retiring. Cherie was also a very talented artist, having painted many portraits for her friends of their children and grandchildren. Her plain-air water colors are outstanding!During this time Cherie travelled the world as well as the United States. She loved travelling be it by boat, rail, or 4-wheel drive! She loved most of all being with her friends and family including her two grandchildren, Nate and Helena Paul. Those who knew Cherie knew her to be a beautiful, Christian woman. She served locally and communities abroad, whether it be helping build homes in Mexico or providing for families and children in need. Cherie's smile radiated her love of God, family and friends.Cherie is survived by her only son Christopher Allen Paul, daughter in law, Gretchen Anne Paul, her two grandchildren Nathaniel Paul and Helena Paul. It meant the world to Cherie to have recently relocated back to the place of her birth, Ojai, and reunite with her these friends and family.
