Alejandro Moreno Ortiz's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Alejandro "Alex" Ortiz, who departed this life on February 13, 2025. Alex will be remembered for his extraordinary kindness, culinary and grilling passions, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Alex will always be remembered for his deep-fried burritos, which became legendary among his family and friends. He took pride in everything being "old people friendly," as he warmly described it. His gentle nature, compassionate heart, awful jokes, and incredible sayings (including how many ways one could wear one's underwear) impacted every life he touched. No matter the challenges presented in the last two years of his life, he always put his family first. His sacrifices showed that family was his greatest treasure and priority.
Alex is survived by his loving wife (Lauri), children (Jennifer, James, Amanda, and Anthony), and his greatest joy, his grandkids (Jonathan, Eric, and Olivia). A celebration of life will be held on March 22nd at 1 p.m.
Alex's legacy of love, kindness, and delicious meals will continue to nourish the hearts of all who knew him. His recipes and wisdom will be passed down through generations, ensuring that his spirit lives on in every family gathering and every meal shared around the table he so lovingly prepared.
