Wilma Geraldine Simpson (August 30, 1928 – April 30, 2026)
Wilma Geraldine Simpson, lovingly known as Geraldine, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, in Oxnard, California, at the age of 97.
Geraldine was born on August 30, 1928, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Ralph Waldo Huff and Lena Bell Huff. She later moved to California, where she graduated from Oxnard High School and built a life rooted in family, dedication, and community.
She worked as a secretary for McLaughlin Research until her retirement, a role she carried out with diligence and pride. Outside of work, Geraldine enjoyed spending time with friends and was an avid bowler, participating for many years at Wagon Wheel Bowling Alley.
On June 18, 1946, she married Richard Monroe Simpson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lena Huff; her husband, Richard Simpson; and her brothers, Douglas Huff and Marion Huff.
Geraldine is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Lou Henderson and Tina Marie Platt; her sister, Donna Winner; and her cherished grandchildren, Jamie Henderson, Nicole Klein, William Henderson, and Joshua Platt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held on May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura, California.
