She was always full of life and would not stay still. At school, she practiced gymnastics and volleyball. At parties, she often led the dances. At home, she always found something to tinker with. She found a reason to go out every single day because she loved being out in nature.Siham practiced internal medicine in Syria. She became such an influential figure when her family moved to her husband's home town. She was an elected official and the head of a public clinic. Siham was, above all else, a mother and a wife. She always put her family first. She sacrificed many opportunities for the sake of her daughters. The first major sacrifice was choosing to let go of going to Sweden to study medicine, and the 2nd one was coming to the US to give her daughters a better life. She was very crafty and resourceful because she raised her daughters during a time of war and economic sanctions where essentials were scarce.
She overcame many hardships in her life, but you could never tell because she always had a bright smile. Her grandchildren were her biggest source of joy. The hope of holding them again kept her strong till the last moment.
