Raylene Raquel Cortez's Obituary
Raylene "Rock" Razo Cortez, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2024, at the young age of 40.
Raylene was born on November 26th, 1983 to Ray Razo and Renee Guzman. Raylene graduated from Channel Islands High School, Class of 2001, where she met her high school sweetheart, who she married and had two beautiful daughters, and later added their dog Teddy. Raylene was a hard working mother, she worked at Oxnard High School as a Special Education Clerk for 3 years. Raylene had a very adventurous, outgoing personality. She loved being active, running her marathons, traveling and making great memories with friends and family.
A special thanks to family and friends that have become family throughout the years. We thank all who helped to support her husband Ryan and their two daughters during this difficult time.
Raylene is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ryan Cortez, daughters; Natalie and Kylie Cortez, her father; Ray Razo, sisters; Jessica Alfaro, Jamie Rivera, and Jackie Rivera. Nieces; Elise, Audrina, Nephews; Chris, Jacob, Mark, Aiden, AJ, Aaron, Damian, and Brandon, as well as her uncle Larry of Oxnard.
She is preceded in death by her mother Renee Guzman and grandparents, William and Dolores Guzman.
Friends and family may visit with Raylene on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Ivy Lawn funeral Home, 1075 E. Daily Dr., Camarillo, CA 93010, from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary service to begin at 7pm.
