Patricia "Patti" Lynn Douglas' Obituary
Patricia "Patti" Lynn Douglas went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2025, at the age of 75. A beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Patti's warmth, kindness, and bright smile touched the lives of all who knew her.
Patti is survived by her devoted sisters; Carol A. Viergutz, Vicki L. Miller (Gary), and Mary E. Sharpe; her cherished aunts Iva, Char and Chris (Jerry); and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, John R. Douglas, and their son, John II, along with her dear parents, Bill and Bette Shaw.
A 1967 graduate of Hueneme High School, Patti began her career at Becton Dickinson before joining GTE-later Verizon- where she worked until her retirement. In 1985, she made Santa Paula her home and quickly became an active and caring part of the community. Patti found great joy in volunteering at the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center and the Santa Paula Art Museum, where her love for animals, people, and local history could shine.
Patti had a passion for life's simple joys: movies and lunch dates with her girlfriends, scenic walks with friends, and yearly visits to the Ventura County Fair - an enduring tradition captured in many treasured photos. She also loved traveling, especially her visits to Arizona and exploring new places.
Patti's warm presence, loving heart, and ever present smile will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 18, 2025, at 11:00am at Ivy Lawn Funeral Home, 1075 E. Daily Dr., Camarillo, CA 93010.
