Mary Yuriko Nagao's Obituary
Mary Yuriko Nagao, age 96, was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at Saint John's Hospital in Camarillo, surrounded by many family members and friends. She was born on March 14, 1929, and her life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication.
Mary was a woman of many talents and devotions. She spent her younger life working at her mother's farm, packing tomatoes and cucumbers. Later in life, she helped her husband, Ray Nagao, open produce markets in Simi Valley.
Mary spent the latter part of her life devoted to loving and caring for her husband, Ray. His need for daily insulin shots for sugar diabetes was a miracle for her to perform, which she accomplished even as she was diagnosed with Parkinson's and dependent on a wheelchair to get around.
Mary will be happy to be together once more with her husband, Ray, her brothers, and her sister. Survived by her sons, Ronald and Robert, and Robert's wife, Terilynn. She will be deeply missed by her grandsons, Christopher and Joshua; Christopher's wife, Veronica; Joshua's fiancée, Joy; and three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Daniela, and Theodore.
A Memorial of Life Celebration will be on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12 noon, at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, CA 93033, in the Private Chapel, with a Burial Service immediately following in the Sunrise Garden.
Please join the family for a luncheon at Chester's Asia Chinese Restaurant, located at 2216 Pickwick Dr., #6410, Camarillo, CA 93010, after the services.
The family requests casual attire and, in place of koden or monetary gifts, please send flowers, as Mary found such beauty and happiness in them.
