Maria Rosario Pagkalinawan Estacio, 101, born on 24 February 1923 in Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on 16 September 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing after a long illness. She was preceded in death by Demetrio L. Estacio, husband of 60 years and son, Lenny P. Estacio. She resided with Exequiel and Susan overseas on Okinawa, Japan, Guam and had been a Ventura County resident since 1988. As a seamstress, she worked in Manila doing children's clothes and in Guam at a garment establishment before moving to Oxnard. She is survived by six children: Vivencio, Estella, Emelito (Marissa), Alicia (Francisco), Susan (Exequiel), Juan (Mary Ann), Joy (daughter-in-law) and sister, Salud Balderrama. The Lord blessed her with twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. We had so many great memories with her that we will forever cherish. Nanay Charing grew up with a zest for life that remained with her throughout her years. She enjoyed the time spent with Among Friends Adult Day Health Care Center and later on visits with the Legion of Mary. Both my Dad and Mom came to know the Lord through Pastor Rosario's Dad (Papa). I will miss saying "Good Morning, Nanay Charing I love you! and at night, Good Night Nanay, I love you! " God has taught me patience through all this, and will forever be grateful.??Grandchildren and great grandchildren from Vancouver Canada, Dubai UAE, Manila Philippines and continental United States who would come and visit will miss their kindhearted, generous, prayerful and loving Lola. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, 04 October 2024, 10 am at Santa Clara Roman Catholic Church located at 323 S E St. Oxnard, CA 93030. The Family will take her home to Manila where she will be laid to rest. She's now free. 'Til we meet again, Nanay Charing! We love you!We appreciate all your prayers and well wishes for our family.
