Donald Foster Wiley, age 83, passed away on 11/4/2024 in Oxnard California.Born on August 3rd, 1941, in Floral Park New York. Donald enlisted to the United States Navy at just 17 years old, where he dedicated 20 years of his life to serving his country. Donald married Carmelita in June 1991, and together they traveled through Europe and the United States on many cherished road trips.Donald was known for his tales about his world travels and historical facts.He was also an avid news watcher. Watching the news wasn't just a routine for him, it was his passion and his way of staying engaged to the world around him. His love of news shows his curiosity and love for humanity and learning. He took pride in understanding current events. His love of following the news reflected his desire to stay connected and aware, embodying his commitment to being an informed, caring, and insightful human being.He was a devoted husband, father and patriot.Donald is survived by his wife Carmelita Wiley, daughter Margaret Wiley, son-in-law Oscar Quezada, his sister Beverly Quilliam and his nieces and nephews back home on the East Coast. He was preceded in death by his father Foster Wiley, mother Margaret Elizabeth Wiley and nephew Sandy Quilliam.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on 11/18/24 at Ivy Lawn Funeral Home at 1075 E Daily Dr., Camarillo CA 93010. Burial to follow.
