Dan was a brilliant and fascinating advertising executive. I was in awe watching the way his big brain worked in such innovative ways. He made a significant impact at Copacino Fujikado in the way we worked, thought, and contributed to our clients. Forever grateful to him and my deep sympathies to his family. I smile thinking of him surrounded by his grandchildren after moving to California.
Dan was a AKL fraternity brother at WSU. He was a great friend, leader smart guy who I wish we could have had more fun together over the years !!đđđ
I really didn't know Dan all that well - we kind of traveled in circles of the ad business. Richard Blakely introduced Dan and I in the late '90's and it was instantly apparent that Dan was a very smart and capable man with a mind built for advertising.
His insights and knowledge were imposing and nicely complimented by his humanity and sense of humor. A good man, gone too soon - RIP, Dan
The news of Dan's passing caught me by surprise. My heart goes out to his family. Dan and I met as classmates at WSU in the College of Communication. While most of our classmates were focused on broadcast careers, Dan was enthralled with advertising. And he was very, very good at it. Our careers, while on separate paths, continued to cross from time to time. In recent years, we had more frequent conversations, often about the good ol' days. Dan was proud to be a Coug and he will definitely be missed. I'm sure he's already in deep debate with our beloved professor and advisor, Ed Bannister. God bless you Dan.
Dan and I were best friends at WSU with a lifelong passion for advertising. Even though we lived thousands of miles apart at times, we always managed to stay in touch during these past 51 years. If there is such a thing as heaven, I hope he gives our advertising professor, Ed Bannister, a big ass hug from all of us.
A shock and a huge loss. What a talent. He always could craft the best message and strategy that was above and beyond what others could only dream of. I will never forget him. We had some great business trips to Europe and shared many a story and good times. He was a marketing genius!
