Charlotte Louise Glinkerman McCoy's Obituary
With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Charlotte Louise (Glinkerman) McCoy, who left this world on April 8, 2026, at the age of 83.
She was the heart of our family — a woman of grace, strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. With her sparkling blue eyes and smile, her presence brought comfort, laughter, wisdom, and warmth to all who knew her. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed, cherished, and at home.
Charlotte McCoy was born on August 21, 1942, in in Redbank Township, Clarion County Pennsylvania. She proudly served in the Women’s Army Corps, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Martin “Marty” McCoy. She came to Ventura, California in 1963 to start her family and create a lifetime of shared memories.
She was a dedicated nurse and an extraordinary caretaker whose compassion touched countless lives. Caring for others was not simply her profession, but one of her greatest gifts. She offered comfort, dignity, and kindness to everyone fortunate enough to be in her care.
She was also deeply creative and wonderfully talented. Her artistic spirit shined through in the beautiful quilts she lovingly wove and stitched, and in the colorful stained-glass windows and pieces she created. Her hands made beauty, and her creations will remain treasured reminders of her warmth and imagination.
Above all, she devoted herself to her family and found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, and friend. She taught us by example the meaning of generosity, perseverance, faith, and love. Whether through a comforting word, a home-cooked meal, a warm embrace, or quiet acts of sacrifice, she gave endlessly of herself.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Michelle “Shelly” Wolfe and Tracey McCoy Thompson; her “son in-loves” Forrest Wolfe and Kevin Thompson; her grandson, Wyatt Thompson (the apple of her eye); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marty McCoy, and her brother, Carl Glinkerman.
Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the blessing of having been loved by her. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the family she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched.
Forever loved, forever missed, forever in our hearts.
