Ava Kathryn Hiott's Obituary
Ava Kathryn Hiott died suddenly at her home in Ventura, CA on March 16th, 2025. She was only 20 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Ava was born on November 30th, 2004, in Camarillo, CA.Ava was quick to laugh and had the brightest smile. She managed to find humor in almost every situation and was always cracking jokes. Almost daily she could be found laughing so hard that she would end up crying.Ava graduated high school from Buena High in Ventura in June of 2023. After high school, she started attending Ventura College to obtain her AA in Business and Marketing. She worked very hard and had just made the Dean's List. She was set to graduate this year and was looking forward to attending CSUCI in the fall. Ava had also worked at Mr. Softee since she was 16 and was promoted to manager of the Camarillo store in 2024.Ava had many things she enjoyed. She loved to read. She would spend at least an hour or two a day reading. She enjoyed thrifting, flea markets or shopping in general. She loved to travel, and she had many trips planned for 2025. She cherished the time she had with her friends. Ava loved music and loved to sing. Going to live concerts or listening to music full blast in her car was her favorite way to surround herself with music. She also spent a lot of time with her family watching old reruns or goofing around with her brother. Ava had a lovely habit of sitting in her parents' room every night she was home and talking to them until she became tired.Ava is survived by her parents Paul and Rhiannon Hiott as well as her brother AJ, ½ brother Errol Buch and her bonus sister Maliah Maldonado. Her grandparents: Beverly McCarthy and Brian Donley, Barbara Hiott-Valdivieso, and Tisha Hiott and Ron Alessi. Aunts and uncles: Larry & Myra Valdivieso, Chris and Murrieta Valdivieso, Jenny & Adam Moya, Jonathan Willingham, Brandon & Emily Hiott, Joey & Ashley Hiott, Jimmy Hiott, and Tori & Trevor Kemerling. She had so many cousins, second cousins, great aunts and uncles who loved her. Ava's passing is preceded by her grandpa Roy Hiott and her uncle Roy Anthony Hiott. In addition to all her family, Ava had an incredible number of friends throughout her life. We know she is looking down on us and feeling all the immense love everyone has been sending her. Rest easy our sweet, bright girl.
